Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is a charitable effort in which individuals and/or groups pack small toys and supplies into a shoebox. The boxes will then be distributed by volunteers from the organization Samaritan’s Purse “to more than 8 million struggling children in 100 countries.”

This year, National Collection Week for the boxes is November 14-21, but you may send completed boxes year-round to their headquarters. To learn more about the effort – including suggestions for what to pack and where to drop-off the packed boxes – visit:
