Blood Water Mission

Blood Water Mission has spent the past 10 years bringing clean water to 1 million people in Africa.

Now they want to help 1 million more… but in only 3 years! You can learn more about their goal and the work they do at:

Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is a charitable effort in which individuals and/or groups pack small toys and supplies into a shoebox. The boxes will then be distributed by volunteers from the organization Samaritan’s Purse “to more than 8 million struggling children in 100 countries.”

This year, National Collection Week for the boxes is November 17-24, but you may send completed boxes year-round to their headquarters.

* Pack a box. Stuck for ideas on what to pack? Just a few suggestions: school supplies (pencils, notepads, crayons), low tech toys (jacks, small cars, stuffed animals, balls), personal care (combs, fingernail clippers, toothpaste and brush, soap, wash-cloths), etc.

* Send a box. Even if you can’t pack a shoe box, you can still help by adopting a box’s shipping donation–a very important part of the gift!

* Think outside the box. With the Samaritan’s Purse catalog you can send everything from warm coats and bikes to fruit trees and dairy animals. Check it out at:
